Triptorelin Acetate
Triptorelin Acetate, a synthetic deca-peptide, due to the decline in sex hormone levels in both sexes, is used to treat prostate cancer, estrogen-dependent breast cancer, and other sex hormone-related disorders such endometriosis and uterine fibroids. The hypothalamus naturally pulses out Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH), which then triggers the pituitary gland to release FSH and LH. The absence of these two hormones prevents the gonads from secreting sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen.
