Argireline is a chain of peptides formed by 6 amino acids. It has a similar mechanism to the Botulinum toxin, and prevents neurotransmitter release from neurons to muscles, and since those neurotransmitters are necessary for muscular contraction, muscle movements or contractions are inhibited.
